Do you want to learn Frontend Web development but you don't know where to start?

Are you stuck in learning randomly and forgetting everything the next day?

It's a common issue for everyone starting out to experience confusion however, with proper guide, you can avoid learning the wrong things and maximize your learning.

Follow this roadmap to avoid the common mistakes people make while trying to learn web development.

Also utilize the amazing FREE resources I'd share at the end of the thread.

Before I go on with the roadmap, I want you to understand that you can do this even in less than 90 Days.

There are only two things you'll need to get started and they are

$$• Commitment.$$ $$• Consistency$$

With these, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to.

Now let's dive deep into the roadmap

What is frontend?

Frontend is part of the website that the end user sees and interacts with on the page. Its all the design, fancy effects, layout and imagery that creates the user experience on a website.

Frontend development requires 3 core skills

$$• HTML$$ $$• CSS$$ $$• JavaScript$$

With these 3 skills, you can land your first tech job in 90 Days of learning or less even if you are a complete newbie.

Now follow this roadmap to achieve this and also utilize the resources I will share at the end of the thread.

Week 1
Don't code yet. Do these.
• Read articles on web development.
• Understand what the web is all about.
• Understand how web pages are rendered.
• Read articles on the work of HTML, CSS & JS.

Week 2
Start Learning HTML
• Learn by practice.
• Don't read it like an article, practice whatever you learn.
• By the end of the week, you should have finished HTML (it's too easy).

Week 3
Start Learning CSS
• If you followed week 1, you should be familiar with some of the concepts already so dive in to learning thoroughly.
• Make a different web page for anything you learn and at the end put it together.

Week 4
Brush up your CSS
• Make your personal website.
• Look up designs and replicate them.

Week 5.
Practice Practice Practice.
• Take HTML & CSS designs from frontendmentor.io and replicate them.
• Design as many web pages as possible.
• Take up frontend tasks and do them.

Week 6
Start Learning JavaScript.
• Spend time with the fundamentals.
• Learn by practice.
• Do not feel overwhelmed, it becomes easier as you progress.

Week 7
Stay committed to JavaScript.
• Love it with your whole heart.
• Practice whatever you learn.

Week 8
Start practicing DOM Manipulation with JavaScript.
• Start adding JavaScript to the websites you created with HTML and CSS.
• Create more designs and Use JavaScript.

Week 9.
Learn with Challenges.
• Take up HTML, CSS & JS challenges from frontendmentor.io and replicate them.
• Create basic JavaScript projects such as Todo App, Calculator App, etc.

Week 10
Brush up your JavaScript.
• Go over all you've learnt so far.
• Put everything together in one project.
• Keep learning new concepts and adding them to your website.

Week 11
Learn Git and GitHub.
• Deploy your portfolio on GitHub.
• Take up more projects and push them to GitHub.
• Do not relent, keep learning

Week 12 (Final Week)
Learn Bootstrap.
Bootstrap is a CSS framework that provides you with already-made CSS classes.
• Put everything together in one final project and deploy to GitHub.

Congratulations. You have made it!
You can now start applying for junior developer jobs and with all the projects you have built, there is 82% chance that you will get one.
